Travel Plan Tips to Singapore - simple but important

In my opinion, if you want to go to Singapore, you don’t have to join trip with tour and travel agent. You can do it alone, just go, Singapore is country that’s having good and easy transportation, wherever you want to go you can only ride MRT, LRT, or bus. In every place, signboard can always be found, you would not be lost.

Those are some tips from me if you want to go to Singapore:
1.       Bring with you plug adapter for three pins socket (colokan kaki tiga), because Singapore uses it, you cannot charge your (colokan kaki dua) gadget if you didn’t bring this (for Indonesian people)
2.       Bring with you empty bottle, because
mineral water in Singapore is expensive, you can refill this bottle in your hotel or hostel later.
3.       Don’t forget to bring your passport; if you are Indonesian you don’t need VISA to enter Singapore and all other ASEAN countries. But you still have to prepare your airplane ticket (return), booking hotel/hostel document, because sometimes it will be asked in immigration check.
4.       It will be better if you change Rupiah to SGD in Indonesia to get the best rate (for Indonesian people)
5.       If your trip in Singapore is just for 1-3 days, plan to go everywhere by public transportation like MRT, LRT or public bus, I recommend you to buy STP (Singapore Tourist Pass), because you can ride MRT, LRT, and public bus as much as you want in that period with cheap price.

6.       When you arrive in Singapore, don’t forget to take free brochure about Singapore in airport, it will be helpful because usually there are map of Singapore MRT and list of must visited place also in it.

7.       For hotel/hostel, I prefer to hotel/hostel that include breakfast, so we don’t have to be worried about what to eat in the morning, it can save time too.
What are we usually afraid when traveling are:
1.       Where to sleep? Don’t be afraid because there are so many website to look for hotel, hostel, rent apartment, etc. I personally often visit booking.com and agoda.com that provide many options, a various prices, and especially no need booking fee, we can cancel 1 week before our check in date (no penalty fee), and they’re very easy to use.
2.       Where will go? The answer is simple, just ask Google. :D Or you can copy my itinerary for reference (in next posting). J
3.       How to get there? It’s simple too, when you are arranging your destination plan, don’t forget to make note about how to go there too, what transportation, and how much a cost needed.

4.       What to eat? Usually this question comes from Moslem traveller, so do I. But difficult doesn’t mean nothing at all, right? Singapore has so many Moslem people too. The most important is don’t forget to ask whether halal or not first. Or you can bring bread just in case you couldn’t find Halal restaurant.

What else? Hmmm. I think it’s enough from me. I hope it can be helpful for all you guys. Thank you for reading.
Have a nice holiday guys.
